Manitoba Rugby Sevens Festival

Congratulations to the U17 Parkland Boys and Girls teams on their Final wins today!

And congratulations to all of our teams on their great performances and play this weekend! We hope you all enjoyed the weekend and had a great time at the park!

We would like to thank all our sponsors, supporters, volunteers officials and coaches. Without all of you this would not have been possible together you helped get over 250 kids playing rugby this weekend! This is our second year running this event and it just keeps getting better thanks to the wonderful community we have here in Manitoba.

A special thank you goes out to our friends in Saskatchewan who made the trip out to play this weekend. Thank you and we hope your girls enjoyed the trip.

2017 Manitoba Rugby Sevens Festival

This tournament is the first step to our high performance pathway in Manitoba for rugby development along with the best opportunity to play sevens rugby at a competitive level within the province of Manitoba at the age grade levels.

Selections and identification for our U16 Manitoba Sevens Provincial Development camps and U18 Manitoba Provincial camps will be done over the course of the weekend. These athletes will be invited to selection camps and tryouts for our programs. These teams once selected will advance to the Vancouver Rugby Festival (U16) and the National Championships (U18) next March 2018.

We would like to invite other provinces and their regional, development, school or club sevens programs to participate at the festival to help provide the best opportunities for our athletes and yours to grow, develop and play rugby at the best competitive level at each age grade.
